Raid 2 Trailer Review – A Gritty Comeback, But Leaves You Wanting More

Just watched the trailer for Raid 2, and while it definitely brings back the intensity, I didn’t feel the same kind of goosebumps as I did with Raid 1.

Ajay Devgn returns as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, and as expected, he owns the role with his calm yet powerful screen presence. The story this time dives deeper into political drama and high-level corruption. It’s no longer just about raiding a single house—it’s about shaking an entire system.

The trailer gives off a darker, more complex vibe, and the scale looks bigger. But somewhere, it feels like it’s trying a bit too hard to be more dramatic than necessary. Still, it manages to grab attention.

Cast Highlights:

  • Ajay Devgn – Consistent and commanding. He slips into the role effortlessly, but we’ve seen him do this before.
  • Vaani Kapoor – Looks good and brings some freshness, but her character isn’t clear yet.
  • Riteish Deshmukh – This was unexpected. He looks intense, serious, and possibly the antagonist. A fresh avatar for him, and honestly, that’s the most exciting part of the trailer.
  • Rajat Kapoor & Jimmy Shergill – Strong supporting cast, hinting at some serious behind-the-scenes power play.

🎵 Song Review – “Nasha”

The first song from the film, “Nasha”, features Tamannaah Bhatia in a high-energy dance number. Composed by White Noise Collective and sung by Jasmine Sandlas, Sachet Tandon, and Divya Kumar, the track is an upbeat, high-tempo number that feels made for the dance floor. The lyrics, written by Jaani, are catchy without trying too hard, giving the song just the right mix of rhythm and groove.

Overall Vibe?

It’s gripping, no doubt. The background score works, the cinematography is solid, and the theme feels relevant. But it didn’t completely blow me away. Maybe because expectations were too high, or maybe the trailer gave away too much too soon.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐½ (3.5/5)

Looks promising, especially with Riteish in a new role. But I’m hoping the movie adds more depth and surprises beyond what the trailer showed.
